# Car Upgrades

Players can tune their cars, even the first one, which they get for free (non-NFT). To make a tuning, users need to play the game in order to get in-game currency with which they can buy an upgrade.

Certain upgrades can have prices in both in-game currency and IPS token. In order to purchase such upgrades, player will need to earn/purchase IPS token.

Certain upgrades cannot be purchased, but can only be won in competitions and leader boards.

Upgrades and Vinyls have rarity levels.

1. Lowest rarity: Upgrades which can be bought with in-game currency.
2. Medium rarity: Upgrades which have prices in both in-game currency and IPS token.
3. High rarity: Upgrades which cannot be bought, but can only be won in competitions.

Tuning affects rarity and in game attributes. With a tuned car in the race, players get better performance, win more in-game currency and IPS tokens.

Tuning also shows the status of the player in the game. Car with more rare tuning looks better, has better rarity coefficient.
